Here is my Sig GSR with a stainless Smith and Alexander arched mainspring housing/magwell. I have the S&A magwell on 3 of my 1911s.

How well does the S&A mag guide match up with the gun's magwell? I want to get one for my Colt Govt, which has a totally flat, unbeveled magwell. Did you have to do any fitting?

They weren't a perfect matchup, had about 1/32" overlap on the frame. That is so the magwell can be blended to the frame. It was so close, I decided to live with it.
