A little history is fine, but what 1911 book has the best technical discussion about take-down, disassembly, customization, etc. Lots of clear, color photos a must.

Any suggestions?

The Colt .45 Automatic, A Shop Manual.  by Jerry Kuhnhausen.  


If you own a 1911 you must have this in your book shelf.
