I got it the day befor and today took it to the range , such a nice gun! The best I ever shot was today with this gun. I did have a few FTF with CCI BLAZER AMMUNITION , but it did fine with the other ammo. I love this gun!

Thanks M4arc you know this is only my 2nd 1911 , and I have shot a few befor but this thing has the best fit and finish I have ever seen on a 1911. Plus its so damn smooth , when you rack the slide its like greased glass. Yes im in love..

Yeah I bought the last pair from him he had, now he's got more in. I'll probably get a pair for my dad's warrior he got.

Looks great man

Thanks for all the comments guys and thanks valblade I hope it keeps it up. To tell you the truth im not that good of a shot , im way better with a rifle. But today I surprised myself , the gun just hits where I point it and where I want it to hit. Glad I got it!

Great selection  . . . I got mine in early May and I love it. Shoots great, feels great and with some minor cosmetic changes that you've done (grips), "iT'S THE BOMB". The "Coyote" color grips are a big improvement over the sand color stock "Mr.Peanut" grips. I may opt for those myself after seeing yours, but I tend to lean more to the stealth mode. And IMHO the "KIMPRO" finish really is one of the best black stock finishes I've seen.

Very nice.  I love mine.   After 400 rounds of WWB 230 gr., Federal P45HS1 HPs, and Winchester Ranger-T RA45T, she's leaning toward liking the RA45T.

I would love to have one of these. I went to the local master dealer to drool and was really surprised they went with a spring instead of a full length guide rod. Why did they do this?

Well for one you can rack the slide holding the gun with one hand against your knee or the ground if your other hand is injured, try that with a full length guide rod,I don't recommened doing that but in a extreme situation could make the difference.and also easier to clear the weapon in a jam,and no tools needed to field strip. It was made to be a combat hand gun.By the way congrats on it

I guess I'm showing my 1911 ignorance. I've not had enough experience with either one, but in my mind, it would seem the full length rod would make it easier to pull the slide back.... but again, I claim ignorance...

Both setups work well ,It really doesn't make any difference in racking the slide more easier. One is just  truer to form the way it was designed

Then again, I don't need to be led down the dark path of 1911 addiction.

IIRC, from what I read in the various gun mags, the USMC wanted a pistol that could supported by unit armorers during a deployment. I don`t think they saw any real advantage between the GI recoil spring guide and the full length guide rod. The FLGR did make routine maintenance more difflcult. The Warrior is Kimber`s commercially available version of the ICQB pistol for the USMC`s SOCOM detatchment. HTH
