Are there any other 1911 options that are the size of the 938 that aren't 380?

Kimber micro 9, but it's not a 1911. Just looks like one. Cylinder & slide made the adventurer, which is pretty small. Also para ordnance made the something hawg or some like that, but it a double stack.

Smallest 1911 you can get is a Officer size with 3" barrel. It's a 45acp, can't get any smaller than that. Now you can get a Sig 938 or 238 for 9mm or 380acp, and they are kinda sorta 1911'ish pocket guns.

Look around on the used gun market and you might find a used M43 Firestar. They were made in 9mm, 40, and 45 ACP. While not a true 1911, they are pretty similar in outward appearance. I got to shoot one in 45 back in 1990. For as small a gun as it was, it was very comfortable to shoot. IIRC it was the "Gun of the Year" around that time frame. Wish I had one for the cool factor, but I like my Kahrs when it comes to single stacks. ymmv

I have one in 45.  Amazingly accurate for a 3" barrel.  Small, but f'n HEAVY.

NOS Star PD, although it only looks like a 1911. Internally very different but a fine carry gun nevertheless.

A Colt Officer's ACP is really about as small as you are likely to get in a real 1911.

Sig 938 and Kimber Micro 9mm while not a true 1911, they are as close as you can get and as small as you can get without going .380. I have the Kimber micro 9mm and the kimber micro .380 and enjoy shooting and carrying them both.

The 938 is a 9mm.

The 238 is a .380.

Not a 1911, but the Kimber Solo is hamerless and 1911-ish..
