I have a Romanian and mine's a POS. Some of the other Romanians I've seen have been much nicer. It's still been 100% reliable.
I'd like to find a nice Polish, Russian, or Chinese model, or a Yugo M57, which is the same gun but with a longer grip and a 9 round magazine.
The grip is quite small and it's comfortable to hold. The trigger is like a 1911's but a little heavier than most 1911 triggers. The gun is VERY slim, it should carry comfortably IWB if one wanted. It's also pretty light. Recoil is like a 1911, not too snappy but with more torque. They (the 7.62x25mm versions anyway) give a loud, very deep toned, authorative BOOM! when fired. They're really fun to shoot.
Like most eastern bloc firearms, they're very tough and reliable pistols. There's a guy that posts on a few web boards (I think firingline is one of them) who goes by the name "Clark". He's a mad man, he reamed a 9mm version out to 9x23mm win mag and runs some crazy-hot loads through his and hasn't hurt it yet. Apparently, he's blown up a few CZ-52s.
