I'm seriously considering this as my next gun purchase (since Colt doesn't make 9mm 1911s anymore). I've fired my uncle's Colt .45 ACP 1911 and love the platform. Thanks for any info on the Kimber.

Have one in Stainless. It was $680 and is a great gun. Accurate and dependable. I like it so much I'm about to buy a Royal II to go with it...IIRC the blued is like $639 at Galyan's.

My wife has a Kimber Stainless II. She paid $699.

I picked up a brand new Kimber Custom TLE II this week and ran a box through it this morning.

Paid $700.
