Typo dude, P226

I love mine.  I only own 2 9mm's.  A Browning MkIII and my SIG P226.  Wouldnt part with either.  Now if I could just track down a decent used 20 rounder.

Typo?

No typo, just a compact single stack 9mm. Introduced at the same time as the P220. Wonderful little sweet shooting auto. No longer in production.

The pic is of a hi cap P226, the post line says P225, the single stack compact.

No, I don't like mine............I LOVE it!
Police trade-in P225, dated 1987. Picked it up with three mags for $394!

That's what happens when you take pictures after happy hour.

Mea Culpa

perhaps this will help?

I really like these little guns. Waaay underappreciated, and, IMO, a much better package than the 239. Guy over in FALFiles has one NIB for sale for $450 if anyone is interested. Great price, but I have no knowledge about seller.

VERY unappreciated gun.  Amazingly good feeling grip, compact, SIG accuracy and reliablity.  Far overshadows the P239 series in handling.  The P239's front strap is dead flat square and feels terrible, and the magazines pinch my hand on fast reloads.  One of these days I'll add a 225 to my SIG stable

sig_230,

I believe your holster is what Mr. Alessi calls a CQCI. The I denotes an IWB holster. I am sure a CQC is an outside the pants holster. Let me know if i am wrong. Ihave one of these for my CZ75 and CZ75 PCR. They are great holsters.

Lumpy196,

I have never held a Sig P225 but I did almost buy one recently. I do, however, own a P229 in 40 S&W and I like it. I didn't care for the grip and I tried a set of Nill grips and then went with Hogues. They make a big difference. There is one other small thing with the Sig P239 that bugs me. What is that? I find the hammer edges to be sharp.

Regards,

Richard:-)

I like the feel of the 225.  They are very nice pistols.  IMHO much better feeling than the 239.  Watch-Six

Yes, it's the only SIG that truly feels good in my hand.  I'd have to say it's my favorite SIG even though it is relatively old compared to the upstarts like the P239 (always feels like it's about to squirt out of my hand), P229 ($800 for what?), and P226 (too damn big).

I enjoy shooting the P220 and 228, but the 225 is just right.
