Has anyone ever had any experience with one of these pistols? They use regular m-16 magazines and I can get my local gun shop to order one for $600-650 plus tax and his fee. They come with 7.25" barrel(stainless or regular barrel) .223 caliber. I'm sure they have an awesome muzzle blast!

I owned one for about 6-8 months but traded it for a sweet 1911.  No FTF or FTE, and worked with all my mags.

I just couldn't hit sh*t with it.  The broad side of a barn would've been a challenge.  It was a fun toy, and rates a 10 on the 'cool factor'.  Get it if it looks like it hasn't had much use and if you're willing to risk having to send it back for upgrades (if it's older).  It is lots of fun.

I have a carbon 15 type 97 pistol.  It took three trips to the company to fix major feeding and extracting problems but has been 1000 rds glitch-free since (knock on wood).

I have a Holosight on mine, very accurate to 50 yards for a pistol, and always attracts attention at the range.  Based on its past history, I DO NOT TRUST ITS RELIABILITY... I consider it my most expensive plinker ( I paid $1000 for this two years ago).

In my experience with the Carbon 15 there are three states of being:

1-New in box. Will be broken soon after firing.
2-Broken.  Probably at the factory for "parts changing", not real repair.
3-"Repaired" by the factory.  Will be broken again soon.

IMHO the Carbon 15 sucks!  Watch-Six

Do you really think they would be selling it if it was illegal??

It is legal, no handguards and under 50oz.
