I bought her a few weeks ago. I love the idea of a 3" 44mag. She did look rather plain to me though. So i dressed her up. Whatcha think?
Before  After  i switched out the rubber hogues for hogue one piece rosewood laminate grips. I had the cyclinder high polished. For those who don't know S&W hammers & triggers typically have the case hardened look. I had the hammer and trigger polished and then jeweled. I think the contrast from frame to cyclinder is sharp. Looks nice, I hope you're shooting light loads in that, though. Otherwise, you have yourself a wrist buster

Looks good. Have you tried any full power loads through it since you put the wood Hogues on? Just wondering how comfortable they are during recoil. I have a 4 inch model 29 and found it to be pretty stiff with full power loads and the stock target grips. I switched them out for rubber Hogues very quickly - they do help tame recoil bite quite a bit.

The integral locks have to go, this prevents me from even considering buying a new S&W revolver. Other than the integral lock, I like your revolver.

44 Mag out of a 3" barrel?

it handles fine. A magnum load is a bit and wow does it throw some fire!
 I wouldn't want to spend an hour shooting it but like most things it's fun in moderation.I was surpised about the accuracy i get from the 3" barrel.J |
