Are these any good ? I handled one today and liked the way it felt .  Its between A100 OR a Taurus 92 copy  (mostly because of the frame mounted ambi saftey . Megar makes mags for both of them Thanks RL

well, I don't know about the A100, but my very first handgun was an Astra A80.  The slide stop broke after putting less than 50 rounds downrange.  After 6 months, it came back from their warranty dept.....and it broke again inside of another 200 rds, this time the hammer snapped off.  The shop I bought it from was really cool--They bought the defective POS back because of all the trouble I was having with it.

If price is an issue, I would recommend the Taurus or an EAA Witness.  If you can swing a couple hundred more bucks, I'd say go with a Beretta, Sig, Glock (ugh), XD (double ugh).

ANYTHING but an Astra.
