Thinking buying a slide may be a good choice for my entrance into the Dot sight pistol club.

Your input would be appreciated

I used a Brownells slide for a budget G17 build I did- it was around $180 bucks.

Brownells slide and an RMR pattern Holosun could slide in under budget...

+1 for Brownells.  Great slide that won’t break the bank.

I don’t like buying gun parts from douche bag felons.

I’m looking at similar stuff. Here is where I will likely buy.

- Lone Wolf
-Brownells
-Remsport/TR Enabling

I think Brownells has a precut slide. But you wouldn’t want to send your original slide out to get cut?

Well, there you have it.  If you like the zev get hte zev.  A little flashy for me, but they work just fine.

There were soooooo many slides out there kinda hard to tell junk from at least as good as factory. The brownells slide just did'nt do it for me. So I ordered the Zev citadel last night. Figured what the hell may as well go Gucci..

Do you specifically want a "blingy" slide?

I am not judging you as it is your money, but I have 3 Brownells slides, and they are the best bang for the buck IMO.

I personally don't like open holes in my slides. I don't want debris and stuff getting into my gun. Again, this is just my opinion.

You can get the adapter to allow a Gen 3 to go on Gen 4.

@shelbysguns...There has to be something to this. And the only way I can really form an honest opinion is to invest the time and money to see for myself. I really hope I like it as well because it is a significant investment in both time and money.

I bought a gen 4 19 stripped slide from Big Tex Outdoors and sent it to DP Custom Works to get milled for an rmr.  All in it was right around $400.

You are correct. I did just that and realized it's not for me.

I'm pretty confident you will be able to recoup most of your investment. RMR's and slides seem to move quick on the EE

Bought a Zev Orion optic cut slide from Midway USA a few weeks back, got an email and it was on sale for less then $300.

Was planning on a Gucci Glock build for fun and giving red-dots a shot without messing up my 19X's slide.

*Edit*

Oh Hell, here it is, still. On clearance, also have a 34 style slide for a little over $300.

I would simply sell the 19 I had in hand for $400, then buy an MOS version for the $100 more it is

New slide is more better than MOS version.
Mulled slide is better.
Or so I have read.
