Been wanting to get one. No one locally have them in stock. I wanted to add a newer 9mm to my collection.

I already have 4 Glocks (not 9mm) and wasn't sure if I wanted a 5th Glock.

Has similar traits as a Glock with some newer features that Glock doesnt't have. M3 Tactical light will mount on the 3rd Gen.

I had 2 dealers try to get one in California, but they have never followed through (after repeated calls /visits). I have found a dealer that will work with me, so if I can find a place that still has a 3rd Gen at a reasonable price I'll have one ordered.

Had an HS2000 and loved it more than I loved my Beretta P92 and Glock 19.

Much better shooter IMHO, with better features and a better feel.

Several of my friends now have them, and they all rave about them.

You will not find a better gun in that price range.

If I was offered a choice of a brand new G19 or a Gen3 HS2000, FREE OF CHARGE, I shit you not, I would take the HS2000.

I had the G19, and sold it because my HS2000 did everything the G19 did only better.  My IDPA performance went way up as well with the HS.

I got a pair of Taurus PT92 18 round hicaps, that dropped right into the HS, all you gotta do is fril a little hole in the front of the mag for the mag release to catch onto.

Nicer trigger than the Glock too, and you can get 3 hicaps for the HS for the same price as a SINGLE Glock hicap.

I can't say enough about it, in fact, the only negative thing I can say is that there is no .45ACP version yet!

I love my Gen. 1 HS 2000 too!  I trust it more than any pistol I own.

It eats any kind of ammo (LRN reloads, fmj, strike 3's, HP's, etc.)

It is easy to strip, clean, and shoot.

Buy one, you won't be sorry.

Yeah, what they said!

Light, comfortable, easy to break down, VERY tight and accurate.

Well worth the price.

Price jumped up already since Springfield bought them up.

I was planning on purchasing one of these fine weapons, and I had been hearing of how cheap they were to buy, sub $300 range, I went to a local shop and they were already $450.

At the time I wasn't willing to pay that for a gun which hadn't yet been proven reliable, now I wish I had bought it.

Buy them up before they hit the $500 range, like the glocks did upon their initial introduction to the US.

The HS2000 is still available. I saw a few at a show last weekend. But the price has gone up a bit.

Picked up 1st Gen at show $300, NIB 2 mags.
Seems to shoot well.  XD's were $410-$455.
Now to find mags & holster.
I was surprised that the gun seems to recoil more than my HP's, but that could have been me or the ammo (new brand)

Saw one of these yesterday.
My TX CHL instructor had one. Said they are made in Croatia.

Isn't this the "old" High Standard brand that made a competition grade .22 in the 60/70's?

It was very cool He had it in .40 I think and one gal who could not work the action on her Smith, borrowed it and shot like 248 with it.

Very cool. I want one!!!!

I saw a couple of the new SA versions yesterday at the gun show, $479 was the asking price and that was $20 more then a new Glock 9mm. I hope this pistol is as good as you say it is or it won't last long at that price range.

Well in truth I hope in the long run, that it is to.
I'm usually one that goes with a proven product.I'm just now switching from Browning HP's
But the HS really felt right in my hand, so we will see how it goes.[:\]
