Cabelas had the flat dark earth XD45 4" model on sale this week for $429. I had a $20 off coupon, got mine for $435.79 OTD. Had to wait for 2 hours to get it, the store was busy as hell, but it was a hell of a deal.

Just thought I'd pass this along..

Sounds like a great deal. I'm looking to get the 5" model and was wondering what they were selling for. I'm sure it is more money than what you paid, esp here in CT. Tell us how you like it when you shoot it!

I love mine. I bought the 4in service XD45 from galleryofguns.com a couple of weeks ago. Total price was $535. Mine feeds everything I stuff in it with no problems as of yet. You got a sweet deal on yours. Happy shooting,

Thanks guys, Got mine today. All the discounts and a $100 GC got me out the door for $300 out of pocket.  Not bad for a pistol I didnt really need. (seriously I need any weapon that will follow me home)

Get a compact 45 with a 5" barrel and he can use the 10 round mag in the gun and use the 13 round mags for reload.
