To a 25acp - similarly
To a 32acp - poorly To a 380 - poorly To a 9mm - poorly To a 38spcl - poorly I'd rather have a 38 spl snub revolver than a 22 of any sort for carrying. In fact, I DO HAVE ONE!

Out of my 6.5" Ruger Single Six I was getting velocities of about 1250 -1350 fps. My .22 LR rifle gets about 1250 fps. So I was getting .22 LR rifle performance out of a handgun. Not my first choice for self protection.
