Really, So they mount directly to the trigger guard? Or are you talking about the Classic 610 Surefire mount?

Surefire makes one specially for the 1911.

It's called the P117D and it comes with a replacement slide stop pin (extended) and an add-on rail that the light mounts to. Great light and system, but be ready to have a custom holster made.

Not familiar with how it mounts. LAPD uses them on their Kimbers. |
