Hello one and all . .

Wifey and I was at the local toy store the other day and she fell in LOVE with a Model 317 -- 8 shot 22 LR, 3 inch barrel, Hi-Viz sights.

Needless to say -- she brought it home.   "My very own handgun  ! "   and  "I don't need to "borrow" one of yours any more  ! ! "

So . . . wise choice ? ?  Anyone have any experience with a 317 ? ? ?

Thanks  ! !

They're great little "kit" guns. I wouldn't know how well they hold up to mucho shooting but .22 doesn't stress a gun that much anyway.

No such thing as a bad choice on any S&W revolver, IMO. No doubt she'll love the gun. Just don't look for a speedloader for it.

I have one of the snubby models of the 317.  It's one of my favorite plinkers.

Just one warning though, make sure you don't use Gunscrubber, or any of the aresol action cleaners on it.  It strips the clearcoat finish right off.

I've shot about 2000 rounds through mine so far with absolutely no problems whatsoever.
