Just an FYI and in my pistol....YMMV

I installed an APEX competition spring kit in my M&P 45 compact... I had previously installed a Duty/Carry kit (trigger, sear, springs) and still had a bit of a tough release (about 5#, but better than "issued").  I prefer (and am conditioned to) a lighter trigger.  I found that competition set worked perfectly with Federal primers, but not so much with Winchester primers.... FTF/light primer strike.  Also, bein's this is the frozen north (Montana), I commonly shoot with gloves and the trigger break was very light (maybe 1.5#?) and difficult to feel with the gloves (not good for EDC).

So I kept the Competition trigger spring and Duty/Carry sear and reinstalled the Duty/Carry striker spring.  Cured the FTF issue with Winchester primers, still has a 2.5-3# sear release (I can now feel the sear release with gloves on) and has been 100% reliable.

Just thought you might like to know.
