I picked-up this 14-3 K-38 Masterpiece (.38 special) in a trade this morning at the flea market. I figure I've got about $200.00 invested in it.
It's in pretty decent shape with a bit of wear at the muzzle and cylinder. No target hammer, trigger, or stocks. Numbers match as they should. The good folks over on the S&W Forum told me it was made in 1972. I have a local LGS that is a honey hole for used vintage S&W factory stocks for reasonable prices so I'll pick up a set of target or combat stocks there that suits me.
