Had another "JH" code - 1987 manufactured Sig P225 but sold it like an idiot. What do I find yesterday ina nearby pawnshop? Another 1987 made P225!
   Well used and well loved. Now it's mine and I won't be foolish enough to sell this one. I love these older Sigs - they have a nice look and a nice feel. John |

I agree, I have a P225 and that would be the last gun I would ever give up.

Just curious. Have never seen a P225. Have a P220 and was curious if the P225 has even a thinner grip or the same as the P220?

Probably thinner since it's a 9mm single stack. Nice score on the P225!

Bet it felt like seeing a long lost friend again. I have an 88 vintage P226 and I can't tell you how much I love it. ROck solid shooter with excellent ergonomics and accuracy that's the cat's Meow!
Swapped the old style grips for the new style ones and that's it. Is my personal carry gun now.

I would like to purchase a P225. That handgun fit my hand better than any I have ever held or shot. I shot the P225 better than the P226, too.
Now to find one for $400 in good or better condition. |

It is a bit thinner and narrower from front to back as well. |

I just bought a P225 built in 1990 (date code KA) . I haven't had a chance to fire it yet. The shop where I bought it also had new, factory magazines priced at $35.00. In fact , I bought one with my gun. Magazines are available, just relatively expensive.
I finally shot my P225 today (5/10/06). I put about 200 rounds of WWB 115 gr FMJ through it without any problems--as expected. As with my other two SIG's, if I did my part the gun delivered plenty of accuracy. I had never fired a P225 before today. I expected less recoil from the gun. I usually shoot a Browning Hi-Power and found the P225 recoiled more. It was far from unmanageable and I got used to it quickly. |
