Ok, what do you guys prefer, the finger groove one-piece or the two peice side panels? My dad and I have the finger grooves on our 220, 220ST, and 229. I'm trying to decide what to put on my new 226R. And please, no posts with                             "neither".

MY hands are in the medium sizes and I have tried them and I like just the 2 piece better.

Just bought a set with finger grooves for my P229. Had them on for all of about 10 minutes and took them off. I will be returning them to the store shortly. The made the ergonomic P229 feel like any other pistol and felt way to wide. In my opinion two piece over the one piece.

I use the finger groove one piece grip on my P226 Navy, my Beretta duty pistol, and my personal Beretta, I also use a Hogue handall on my H&K USP40c. I like the positive grip and secure feeling afforded by the finger grooves.

I've got a long trigger finger.  The factory grips and std trigger feels good on my P220ST.  The Hogue FG grips feel a bit better, though.

I've got the 2-piece panels on my 229 and the finger-grooved one-piece on my 239.

Personally, I prefer the 2-piece panel design.

I have Hogues on the 239, 229, 226S and 220ST, with the finger groove type only on the 239.

I find that the 1 piece rubber finger groove Hogue grips are a neccessity for the P239. It really improves the grip.

FWIW,
I find the 226's grip to be plenty large, so the 2 piece panels work the best on mine.
