I want some more mags for my compact 9mm 320, the 15rd ones, who has the best price and is Mecgar still the aftermarket to go with?

See if Greg Vote still has the ACT mags. Same manufacturer as OEM/Mecgar, but cheaper

I’m not aware of MecGar making them with their stamp as they are the oem supplier for Sig. conflict of interest for them to sell them.

The ETS ones required tweaking a bit to work.

There are the ACT mags. They look good amd I have heard good things. https://gregcotellc.com/cart/sig-sauer-magazines-c-123/actmag-armscor-sig-sauer-p250-p320-m17-9mm-17-rd-3209-p-2047.html

Because ACT-Mags are as good or better than SIG-marked mags and they are half the price.
Excellent Italian-made mags.
Capiche ?

ACT-Mag 15rd are unobtanium.
17rd sell out fast.

https://themagshack.com/shop/pistol-magazines/9mm/act-mag-sig-sauer-p320-250-9mm-17-round-magazine/

a quality 17 round mag for $20?

Will this work in my M17, or is there some baseplate issue, square v oval?

They have the desirable "square peg" insert and the basepad is equivalent to a basic SIG mag basepad.
Which means they will work as is in an M17.

So at least worth getting one or two to test...

I just have a hard time believing that mags made by armscor/RIA are anywhere near as good as ones made by sig. I’ve seen first hand what epic pieces of crap their pistols are.

Sig does not make magazines. They are all contracted.

Multiple companies have made then under the sig contract.

Checkmate and Mecgar are two of the companies. I'm sure there are more.

You know what I mean, Sig branded mags. Whether you make them in house or contract someone to make them they’re still your magazines made to your specs.

Only difference I see on the ACT mags are the finish.

The style of the ribbing and body of the mag overall appear to be identical.

Are MecGar mags sold as MecGar and not Sig branded then not to sig spec? The CMI mags made for Sig were not as nice as the MecGar made ones. Specs in some ways don’t matter. Strangely. CMI mags for the M1A are the standard high quality mag that people want for their M1A.

It all depends on how much effort they want to put into them.

1) First of all, Armscor/RIA, a Philippine company, bought ACT-Mag, an Italian company.
2) SIG does not manufacture mags.
They use three subcontractors to make mags for them.
a) MecGar (marked Made in Italy)
b) CheckMate (marked with a "C in square" mark) Made in USA
c) Undisclosed (marked with "J in circle" mark)  Made in USA

I have them all including ACT-Mag
They all work equally well.
ACT-Mag has the best finish. Reminds me of early Beretta mag quality.

Now we just need ACT to step up to the fucking plate and make some 21 and some 30+ rd mags. I’d love to have a reliable 30 rd stick mag. Even a 24 would be nice.

I’m working on a select fire conversion drawing and will have it made by a local NFA SOT. The extended mags would be very nice for that.

I'm guessing they are limited to 15 based on descriptions.

Ordered a few from them, GTG. Took a few days for them to ship The mags out, but they shipped FAST. Beware, they mark the fuck out of the packaging with tape marked “ADVANCED TACTICAL,” and the mags bounce around Freely inside a bubble envelope, no individual packaging.

Hard to load round #17, real good and stiff spring. Good luck without a loader.

Follower seems... Odd. When empty, it Sticks up further than any other mag I’ve used, lets you see the guts under the nub that pushes on the slide stop.

Otherwise, they function just fine. For $20-24 apiece, they’re hard to beat. If Armscor starts selling 21 round mags, they’ll make a killing.

Ok. Mags in hand. The ACT are impressive. Absolutely impressive. They really are an identical clone of the oem with the only noticeable difference in the counting holes and the finish. And I like the finish.

I will be buying more. If ACT makes a 21 I will not see a reason to buy a sig 21 again. If they were smart they would just extend the body into a 24, 27, 30, or 33rd mag. I’d personally like to see them make the 24 and a 33.

I concur.  I am 7 weeks into a "8-10 week" wait for a Flux Raider.  My M17 came with 2 21 and a 17, so I can have 40ish rounds on board and a spare, all OEM, but this being Arfcom, I obviously need a bunch more mags.  And RELIABLE stick mags would rock.  I am not so sure about ETS or Promag.

My ETS mags suck more than Biden in a kindergarten.

They all had to be shaved and sanded to work right.

Now I will look into the best mag extensions for these.  If they are identical to the OEM mags and have the square peg, I believe extensions designed for OEM mags will work.  Saving $20/$30 a mag will make the price of extensions a bit easier to swallow.

I have several thousand rounds through multiple ACT mags at this point in both the standard 15 and 17 round capacity as well as modifications using TTI +2 and TTI +5 extensions with GE spring and follower kits. I have had zero problems with any of my mags. I prefer the ACT mags to the Sig branded mags as the AFC finish on the ACT mags is way slicker and drop smoother. My ACT mags are in all of my load outs as well as my EDC mags. I trust my life to them fully at this point.
