I've gotten so used to the way my 1911s feel in my hand that the grips on my P226 feel too large. Does anyone make a grip that will make a substantial difference in the size. Any other suggestions? I like my P226 but want to get closer to the feel of a 1911 size grip. Thanks.

I personally don't know of any aftermarket grips that make the total grip size smaller. When I put Hogue grips on mine the grip was noticabley bigger.

Its a double stack, known for a wide grip... you are never going to make it feel anything like a 1911.  I suggest a P225 or P220.

The original (checkered plastic) grips on the old P226s were SLIGHTLY slimmer than the current stippled grips.  Every aftermarket grip I've seen for Sig has been noticeably thicker than the factory, not thinner...

The only grips that are as thin as the factory grips are Nills. They cost an arm and three legs but are top notchi

Thanks very much. Do you know of anyone in the USA that carries them?
