And Desert Earth is fucking bad ass....

Anyone here change the color on their glock?

You haven't even shot the thing, dooooooooood!

Or........have you, since last night?

Most folks use Duracoat to do it.  In the Refinishing Forum, in Armory, there's lots of info about it, and pics of stuff people have done.  Duracoat is very durable, by all accounts.

I figured I'd ask here to get some pics of actual glocks... I been reading the refinishing forums and no pics or ppl that I've seen doing GLocks (unless they just suck at naming their posts)

Looks good. How long ago did you do it? How well is it holding up? I'm really more interested in the frame then the slide but I have to admit that black barrel inside of the FDE slide looks pretty sweet. How did you prep the slide (sandblast, etc.)? I'm surprised you went through all of that and kept the factory sights?

Did that 17 in August, I do not think it has seen too much use since then.  I see the owner regularly and will ask him about it.  Below is my 22, which was painted in the same color.  It has seen use for daily carry for a solid year and was painted I think maybe three years ago.  It definitely shows wear mostly from where it rubs on my CTAC.  However under the trigger guard and the rear tang the Duracoat has worn thin just from my hand.  I do not wear shooting gloves or anything like that.
