I have recently bought two new mags for my G19 and one of them was bit different. All my mags so far came with gen 5 follower (thats what i call them, they have little 5 stamped on them). The one different mag has gen 3 follower and writing "Restricted In USA-Post 9.13.94".
When searching the internet i found a Swiss site thats offering 5CHF (approx. 4$) and a new mag for one of these "restricted" mags.

Does anybody know how many of these were made?

Here is a pic from the swiss site:

I think any magazine with a capacity of more that ten rounds was required to have these markings in the US during the 'Assault Weapons Ban" 1994-2004. I don't think new ones are marked this way.

I don't think they're TOO rare over here right now, especially in the used market. I have one. Perhaps someday they'll be collectible. I say hang on to it!

They might be collectable some day but during the ban I sold hundreds of them to police. I believe it will take about 50years for them to become collectable.

That's what I do with mine.  They're just tools.

Some tools have the ability to become VERY valuable down the line.

I heard that the original GLOCK mags with no markings on the floorplate are highly collectable.
