I got this today from a friend "in the know" at Smyrna. If anyone should know what they are talking about, he will. Just thought I'd share.

The myth (and I use that term literally) about 22Cs and night vision is precisely that.  The Glock advertisement was even messed up.  That picture is actually two pictures over-laid.  There was a day picture, then they added a night picture, shot in pitch black with very "flashy" ammo, to give it the "fire-breathing dragon" look.  C-models actually have less muzzle flash than the non-comped guns.  It is venting gases out of more places, in less concentration, than a gun that is simply blasting everything out of the front.

I've never shot my 22C at night. Glock does not address this in there writings but they do warn against holding the C models close to your body, because of the gases coming out of the top.

Maybe I`ll try a night shoot on the 4TH.
