not knocking your request, but why? to get a good grip on the gun you'd want to run a pinky extension which puts you pretty much at a 19 length anyways. I chopped mine to accept 19 mags but I did it in the 26 fasion(where the mag sits flush with the bottom of the grip) this helps greatly with carrying and I still get 100% grip on the gun as well as having the finger grooves in the correct position as apposed to a true 19 where they are
higher. just my 2 cents.

I'd like to see that as well. I have no problem shooting a g26 well enough without mag extensions.

Here is my G19 cut down to take G26 mags.  Now it wears GAP floor plates which don't increase the length but greatly aid in control.

Member Aloxite's G17 cut down to 26 mag length.

Not a member and not a G17 (its a G20) but same concept.

I have more saved somewhere, I will look for them.

thanks for all the pics!

I think I agree that a 19 cut down to 26 is more feasible.

Thing is the gen4 19's reputation is hardly established yet, while the 17 is doing better.

That isn't mine.  I posted that picture a while back.  But it was just something I found on the internet.

I'd really like to get another G20 and cut it down to take G29 mags.

The grip is the part of a pistol hardest to conceal. So in theory you shorten the grip making it less likely to print while maintaining the long sight radias of a full size pistol.

If you are going to do it, be careful!

Not that this is necessarily the OP's case, but...........

A guy on another forum bought a G19 off his buddy for $150.  It was dirt cheap, because the original owner's dog had chewed the bottom of the grip to shreds.  So the guy who bought it chopped it down to take G26 mags.  The chop-job completely got rid of the chewed up part, and it looked awesome afterward.

I wish I ran into a $150 deal like that!
