Do you carry only in "rough" neighborhoods or everywhere? Do you carry 24/7 or only occasionally?

Me?  I carry 24/7. It's just like my wallet and my watch - When I go, it goes too!

24/7!

As my first and best instructor said...

"It can happen anytime, any place"

even in church, cleatus!

At first, I just carried "when I felt like it".  But now, I'm making an effort to cary anytime I leave the house.  Because, as stated before, you never know when.  The bad guy certainly isn't going to tell me!

Unfortunately I'm not able to carry at work, so it stays in the car.  But it goes back on as soon as I reach my vehicle!

you just have to carry at every possible moment.  You know murphy's law states that the shit will go down the one time you get lazy about bringin' your weapon.

I carry most everywhere except at work. I ALWAYS carry after dark simply because statistically, one is more likely to be attacked at night.

I carry darn near everywhere, all the time.  I tend not to carry at home, and generally just set the sidearm on my desk.  I carry at work and at school, at church and when I travel.  It's under my pillow when I'm sleeping.

I tend to take it off and store it in a backpack when I go out dancing because, well, there's a lot of body contact in situations as those, which strongly affects the comfort of the dance, lots of movement allowing for clothing to shift in a way exposing the firearm, and it's probably not the best way to ensure I still get dances with the ladies to have a full-framed pistol jab them on the floor.
I also take it off while working out at the gym (but don it again before I leave), and when I go swimming or take a shower.
Finally, I don't carry while I'm on duty with the National Guard if I have a chance of going into the field or losing the BDU blouse (like combatives training).

But other than those situations, you can expect me to be packing.

I carry where I can during the week. Michigan has a restrictive shall issue law. Therefore, I am not allowed to carry in a lot of places. On weekend I carry most of the time. I seldom carry in my home but have loaded handguns within reach. Regards, Richard:D

I almost always carry. The only times I don't caree are when I have broken knuckles on both hands (happens alot). And even then, I carry a little Beretta .22, but I don't consider that carrying, heh.

Anytime I'm staying in PA, or travelling to a State that honors my CCW.

i was under the impression that you couldn't carry at school, or are you concealed?

SOme colleges you can, and some you can't. It all depends on state laws.

In Kentucky, the law leaves it up to each individual school to decide.

i'm just begininng to go over to the "dark side" and i'm finding out many of the laws concering carry issues are ambiguous and vary not just from state to state but county and city too. quite aggravating.

I'm in Oregon, where the only restrictions to concealed carry are federal ones (ie, military installations, airports, courtrooms, and the like).

As for open carry, just about any instance of "you can't open carry here" has a tagline "unless you have a valid CCW permit."  For instance, the city of Beaverton has an ordinance stating that open carry is illegal.  It then makes an exception stating those who have valid CCW permits are exempt and can open carry.

I know state law says nothing about walking around on campus while open-carrying, but campus policy says it's a no-go.  State law does say no open-carry in the public school system (not colleges, though), but again people with valid CCWs are exempted and can open carry.

My concealed Beretta 8045 is ridin' crossdraw with me every time I leave the house, w/ two on the hip. I am not a man to take chances.

Any time I leave the house I have my pistol.  My wife says that I'm paranoid, but when you DON'T have it you'll need it.
