The question was brought up at work yesterday about SBR'ing PAP pistols. Once the guns designation goes from pistol to rifle does it now need to be 922 compliant and have a certain number of USA parts to be legal?

I was under the impression they did have to comply with 922r.  Has that changed?

It's like asking who makes the best truck. Chevy or Ford. Some think yes, you need to add the US parts, & others think no, you don't have to. There have been replies from the ATF both yes, & no, depending when the reply was sent. While I know what I would, or wouldn't do, I'll keep it to myself to avoid any confrontations. Let's just say I'm not a fan of removing perfectly good foreign parts, & replacing them with sub standard US parts.  GARY
