Who did your builds?  Very nice!  I hope mine turn out 1/2 as nice as yours.

Thanks,

WOW!  She's damn nice looking!  She's even wearing earrings!!

Where can I get and what would I have to expect to pay for one of these polish underfolders with the nice wooden furniture?  Are those folding stocks sturdy?  They look like they would sway side to side or be hard to keep in a fully locked position.

So you are saying that I can essentially build what that beautiful Polish girl is firing if I order what Bob still has in stock-  "Arsenal "11” 7.62x39mm AKMS (PMKMS) Underfolders!" ???  This is the one to get then?  Here is the kit:

the parts look a little used and dirty, but the numbers match and that's what i would imagine is the most important part.  What about a receiver for this rifle?  Would it be a stamped sheet metal receiver or a milled receiver?  could I use either?  or, would I ruin the quality of this kit one way or the other?

Link Posted: 8/4/2005 11:54:43 AM EDT
[#39]
The kit I got, like the one pictured, was NEW, UNISSUED!! Looked like it had never had a bullet in it. They all use a stamped rec. Use the Ohio Ordnance, Global Trades(ArmoryUSA), or GreenLight Arms receivers. They're the best!!

[Last Edit: JosephR] [#40]
i take back the dirty or used comments.  i see that the only parts that looked like they had any dirt just had oil or a little marring from where they mated to the receivers...

these would be ok for a home build attempt?  i would have no problem ruining sheet metal trying to build a receiver, but I wouldnt' want to ruin the kit.  I guess as long as i end up with a receiver that is square and straight with the holes lined up, i've got no worries, right?

ETA:  I ORDERED FROM BOB!!!

The only problem that a side folder to the right, or a underfolder has is the fact that it is hard to operate the selector when closed.

It appears you are one of those people who point out problems with something only because you don't really understand how they actually DO work.  The AK series was designed with a solid stock and when folding stocks were later designed they were not designed around the safeties.

I have never seen an AK without "wings" or tabs on the lever.
