Looks like a good indication that your bullet guide is too low.

I sanded the orlite mags front tab area that was torn off and applied oil.
then loaded each with 6 rounds and cycled out the ejection port (did not fire). both fed rounds well except 1 orlite mag did not feed last 2 correctly (but that happened on one of my metal mags, too). will test fire at range this weekend. also ordered 2 12 round steel IMI mags from cdnninvestments. will test too if they are in and make a range report. |

recieved an orlite today. it fit PERFECTLY!!! super TIGHT but no mods necessary.

received 2 -12 round metal IMI galil magazines in from cdnninvestments this week to go with my 2 'new' fixed orlites I received above.
did not get a chance to take out and test fire this weekend. should be done by next week. |

Update -
both Orlites work perfectly good. and both IMI 12 round mags (bench shooting) work great, too. I believe I have one of the 'good' galil golanis. Thanks to all that post in the forum. |

WOW - if my Galil mauled mags like that, I don't thnk I'd be thinking I had a "good one"...

I totally agree... but compared to other Century Galil Golani disasters I have read about I am sooooo happy I dont know what to do. All 3 different types of mags work and fire when I pull the trigger. (orlite, metal 35 round and metal IMI 12 round). |
