Picked a up a decent looking sks for under $100, looks like ti is going to clean up nice, all the metel is in good condition, a few wear marks on the top of the reciever, but over all looks good.

The wood is OK, that is what I am cleaning up on this rainy saturday.

I started yesterday with a good cleaning of Easy Off, and soap and water, I then placed the stock in a garbage bag in the hot sun yesterday, and it got some more cosmo out of it.

I decided today to stick it in a 210 oven and see what else seeps out.

I use the dishwasher for my Cosmo coated stocks. Hot wash air dry.

DONE, baked for a couple hours, wiping off the cosmo as it seeped out every 20min.

Letting it cool now.

Now I need to decide, BLO or Tungoil, or just a stain polyurithane.
