I see the photos of member's left side folding triangular stocks. But, was that an original issue version? I have access to an original Maadi receiver and if I purchase, I want to make it a side folder if that was an original type.

Maadi side folder

Some Maadi's did have a folder, but not like you described.  I think they look like the one pictured above.  They are not common either.  Just about every Maadi I have seen came with the laminated buttstock.  The triangle side folders were generally used on AK74's.

That sidefolder is on rifles pictured on Vector's site.  I guess you can still get a rifle with that stock technically, and swap it with the Maadi if it will fit.
