How do i put a muzzle brake on a vepr. do i have to thread the tip of the muzzle?

No, the VEPR muzzlebrake is held on by three set screws which engage three depressions (about 1/16" deep) on the muzzle of the rifle. If your adding the brake, these holes must are drilled into the barrel muzzle (at the right depth, angle and location). Also look at the thread by ROUGH on muzzle brakes.
