Took the Tigr out today, with some of the Extra match ammo. This ammo had 7.9 cm listed on the tin. Supposedly that is for 10 shots, at 300 yards. Used a bipod on the receiver, and an 8x Pro scope. Temperature was around 30 - 35 F, elevation 6300 feet. Performed initial zero at 25 yards, then 100 yards. Moved to the 300 yard range for final zero. It took 8.5 moa adjustment to achieve a 300 yard zero, from 100 yards. At 600 yards it took 12.5 moa to get there. Only fired one group at this range. It was 13.5 inches. Moved to 800 yards, it took 25 moa to reach that range. Had a 12.5 inch and a 20.5 inch group. Pics:
Backed up to the 1000 yard line. It took 40 moa from the 300 yard zero, to reach 1000 yards. Groups were 36 to 39 inches.
Test rig setup:
Yep, that little white square out there is the target.
Dope
300 yard zero
600 yards = 12.5 moa
800 yards = 25.0 moa
1000 yards = 40 moa
Looks like this round is good to 800 yards. Maybe 900 yards? Didn't shoot at that range today. At 1000 yards, it really opens up. Seems like I've shot sub 30 inch groups at 1000 with Wolf White box ammo? Will have to shoot them side by side.
Anyway, had a great time slinging lead today....
