I needed money while in the Service and sold a Uzi A model.  Also sold my first shotgun, an 870 that had killed boo-coo geese and ducks.  This has been almost 20 years ago and I still kick myself in the a@# for selling these two.

My best bro and I worked in a sporting goods store in 1988, and when we heard the AW Ban was coming on we could have bought AK's for like $80.  I had all kinds money after getting out of the Service and he and I were going to go halfers on a case of them, I think there were 10 per case.
My buddy had recently gotten married and maxed out their credit cards, so he was in hot water with the wife.  She forbid him to go in on the deal, and dumb a@# me didn't go and buy the case anyhow.  Right after the Ban went in the price for AK's went through the roof.  I STILL dog my buddy's wife over this.

I sold mine for $350 which was a decent profit at the time.  Friend has it, it's in his will that I get it back along with the early 80's M1A and original ART scope that I sold him for $1500 :)  I'll get first shot at his Russian SVD also......I'll probably be too old to care, too senile, something - at least hopefully anyway.

Should've lost them in a tragic boating accident

The one I miss the most........Norinco SKS, but it went to a good home.

The one I kick myself for......Oly 16" carbine....bought in '01 for $690, sold in '04 for $725 ( after putting 5K through it, )

But the worst part....the guy I sold it to, resold it about a month later to a co-workers cousin, he in turn needed to sell it a few weeks later....I was told $500 would get it....before I could get back to him, he traded it in at a gunshop for $400...

Bought a well-worn and used Colt SP1 (70's era I think?) from a private seller walking around at a funshow wanting to get rid of it for $600 cash.  The inside was caked in grease, which meant as he told me it was in storage for a long time.  Surface rust on the outside in different places, so I said what the hell.

Cleaned it up, and it shot like any colt does.  But put it up on the EE a few weeks later and got $750 for it, sold in a few minutes .

Only thing I regret is not asking more, and I kinda miss the novelty of owning it

My most regrettable was a Colt 1911 made in 1919 that was all original (all parts were original) but was missing most of its finish and one of its grips.  I paid $200 for it and put some aftermarket 1911 grips on it and sold it for $450.  It wasn't the nicest looking piece, but it was original and it shot great (interior of barrel was perfect).  Also would like to have back the Remington-Rand 1911A1 that I once had.  I've had several M1 Garands that I've traded or sold, and I wish I had every one of them back.  I don't regret a lot of what I've traded off, I figured I couldn't own every gun at once, but I could get a decent sampling of them one-at-a-time.

except for the piece of junk rossi puma .357 lever action that absolutely would not extract most ammo.  It was pretty aggravating.  I sold it 3 weeks later at a loss and was glad to see it go.  I still would like to get a lever .357 but will probably get a winchester and play it safe.

I regret the Auto-ordnance 16" tommy gun, with 50 round drum, that I traded for for a $200 rifle......sold for $800.....bought a dogtag making machine......that the shipping company destroyed and then offered me 1 cent per pound insurance for! $800 machine, turned into $45.00 in insurance.
