I got the idea that I'd like a .22cal AK to play with.  How many different types were made, which ones are any good and where can they be found?  Pics would be great.

SOG has these AK98T trainers  this is how it looks out of the box

This is mine now after changing the cheap plastic stock set with Romanian
wood from a Wasr 10

I bought one of the first ones and it has been trouble free  and i shoot the piss out of it

I thought about picking one of the Romy Trainers up
I've even seen an RPK version

What about extra mags for it ?

SOG has extra mags for $19.95   they are 10 round mags  and nothing else will fit these guns..

Is 10 rd. capacity the highest available mag for these .22 AK's?

Where are some good websites that sell these (Gun and/or Mags)?

How hard is it to change out the furniture?  What's the price range on these?

Do the mags function like a normal Kalashnikov?  Just curious if there's a way to "make" extra mags.

I'd really like one of these, and just found out I've got some extra cash coming to me due to overpayment on a credit card...

Hey Patm do you want to sell the original plastic stock and grip from the .22 trainer?

Thanks all, gotta get me one of them.  Ceiner makes a 30-rd magazine for .22 conversion for a standard AK, does anyone know if they can be made to fit?
