I went back to the pawn shop and fondled it some more. I put a hundred down on layaway.  It's a RML     PAR  INTL   maadi.  It has a strange stock thats not a thumbhole stock, but it is one piece.   It has a threaded barrel with a slant break on it. Strangely enough I looked closely at the slant break and it said KOREA on the side. Wierd?? The slant break is tacked on. It has a really smooth action and looks to be in pretty good original shape, except someone put one of those dust cover scope mounts that tightens with a screw. Was the original one ribbed or smooth?

I'm pretty sure the original was ribbed..
But I have seen quite a few with smooth covers..
