Might be a stupid question but what is the difference between single hook and double hook triggers? How do you tell the difference? Which is better?
Thanks,
Don

Ones got one hook, the other has two.

If you look at the 2 the single hook only has one hook that holds the hammer and the double hook has 2 hooks holding the hammer back. Some AKs take a single hook and some use a double hook. My norinco uses a double hook, but my vepr is a single. You have to cut your reciever to put a double hook in a single hook reciever. But you can put a single in a double with no problem. I prefer a double hook!

Double hooks were designed for war, in the unlikely event one of the hooks breaks then there's a backup built in ...

I looked at a Valmet to day (5.56) I believe if memory serves it had 2 hooks.
