Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Gas Tube Mounts ? Need Input Ultimak and First Samco

I own two AK's that don't have a siderail ( SA-93, SSR-85B )

I'm looking at the Ultimak mount but I read somewhere that heat was an issue

Also looking at the First Samco Replacement upper handguard but it looks like it would put the Red Dot up too high

Any Real world experience with either mounts would be appreciated......... Thanks
