Hi folks,

I just replaced the furniture on my ORF SEAK-74, and I had a question regarding the lower handguard retainer.

The little flip-up latch that keeps the retainer "locked down" was really tight and hard-to-move when I had the wood furniture installed, but now that I have replaced it with plum furniture, the latch flips up and down really easily (I would almost be tempted to say that the latch is "loose").

The lower handguard seems to be tight and "in place", and although I have not shot the rifle with the new furniture in place, it doesn't seem like it would move.

Is this normal or not ?

Thanks.

Yes, it's normal due to slight manufacturing variances of the handguards.

It's not going anywhere.

Thanks. That's what I was hoping to hear.
