Legacy, sorry to hear that. I would be very mad if it were my friend.
I guess the best thing would be to be supportive and just be his friend. Look at it this way, he is alive and is comming home. Others do not have that luxury. The army will get him a prosthesis. They are not all that bad nowadays. Not like having your own leg, but he can still walk and ride his bike. Convince him that now he has some good stories for his biker buddies, and that now he is the toughest dude in the group. It is all about how you look at it.
You still have your friend, that is the important part. He'll need some support when he gets home, but he is commig home. Be mad now, get as mad as you want. Damn, I know I would be, but get through it bfore he gets back because he will need level heads, and not all of his friends will have level heads.
This advice comes from experience.....
JOHNO, that still do not sell it out side of PA very much. There are a few boarder towns that have it in Ohio now. The Lager is good, but the Black and Tan is about the only American made beer I will drink. My wife is a Yuengling. Just far enough removed to not get free beer, but to get a Christmas card every year, and a free T shirt when she visits the brewry.
