I just got home from work and this was waiting on me! Ordered from Tantal a few days ago and my god, it is one gorgeous set of furniture. Russian AK-74 set which has never been mounted on a rifle. Got a special rifle in the works just waiting to meet this set of lumber. Sorry I just had to show it off..

Thanks for all the comments guys! triage, you dont want to know...lol... It was not cheap and I am kinda afraid to say, but, $300  I am currently working on getting our site up and running and we needed a couple rifles to use on the front page and as examples of our work. One fixed stock 74 and one folder 74, both wearing Russian wood and accessories is what we decided to go with. I would not have spent that kind of money on the furniture but man it's gorgeous wood and if I am going to spend the $ to have professional pics taken, I might as well have a couple real lookers...

You get what you pay for typically. Thats certainly mint. Just make sure you get a rifle thats finished just as good.

Now if we could get some US company to make a quality reproduciton version of the Russian, that would be awesome.
One thing I would love to do is have a set of Russian red stocks like that on a rifle but have the buttstock cutout so it can be used to replace the krinkov side-folding stock. Thatwoudl the be super finest stock set I can imagine. A red wood side folding stock. |
