I am a righty but have to shoot southpaw, because of a center vision problem in my right eye. I use the Romainian side folders and they are fine. If they are offset it is by a miniscule amount. The ergonomics as they are on an AK  seem to be equaly awkward for tighties or southpaws.

I can get a decent chek weld with it and decent site picture, just the same as if I shoulder it right handed. Of course even with the original wood it was no precision piece, with the Romanian folder being offset to the left actually brings your eye closer  to the center of the rifle, which is probably going to give you a better position (you are looking straight down the barrel instead of having to cant your head to get a straight line of site down the barell).
