Not sure if this pic will work alone, but I'll try:




Kinda hard to tell if it's a Saiga or Vepr, but it looks like one of the 5.x or 7.62x39 calibers due to the curved mag.

Looks like the Saiga Hunter in .308 to me.

I don't think it's .308.. Most likely 7.62, or 5.45(there avalible there).. Looks like a armed civilian, protecting himself..

I have seen a few pics that look like locals have armed themselves and are taking up positions along the school with the army. I saw a few pics of guys with SKS's and some bolt rifles on TV earlier.

Its a 7.62.  Civi's arn't allowed anything in 5.45 in Russia.  Its a military caliber only.
