So , was able to get out at lunch for a quick shake down with the red krink.
Attached FileI took samples of various ammo to try , as seen. Federal m855 , wolf gold , Norma , and finally cheap ass Sargent major stuff.
Attached FileSet up at 30 yards roughly and began shooting off hand.
The 855 was low , but I’m saying some of that was me getting used to the trigger and the awful sight ms for an old guys eyes. If you have shot a krink , you know.
Next was Norma
Attached FileWolf gold and Sargent major was similar. I forgot to take a pic.
Zero failures.
Good muzzle blast , but not near as bad as my 7.62x39 krink.
Brace is solid and relatively comfortable
Trigger was typical AK and no “slap”.
Ejection was AK and all went slightly up and forward.
No key holing , which I was concerned about.
Mag was great and seated well without any wobble or need to force it.
I then took it back to 65 yards and rested it on an ammo can and started busting clays. The first 10 shots were hitting 50% of the time. I was still holding a bit low , dang it ! I then focused a bit more and was busting clays on every shot. Dang those sights are rough !! 150 rds were shot in 10 shot strings.
Next will need a red dot of some type to help this old guy out.
Overall fun and well worth it even with it being in 5.56.
