Are SLR's easier to put the full folding stock on than other rifles? How hard would it be to SBR the two near the bottom? Could I just have someone cut the barrel and thread it for a flash hider? Who does this kind of work?

Does the 107 CR have a full length gas system? I think I might go with the 107 CR. Was the other one with the shortened gas tube made like that so people could SBR it easier?

the SLR107UR and SLR106UR both have the shortened gas systems that make it much easier to SBR.  Simply get your Form 1 approved, then you can hacksaw the barrel, crown the barrel, cold blue it and install the flash hider by screwing onto the threads on the already installed front gas block.
I have a SLR106UR that I am going to SBR if it does not sell soon.  They are small.

The folding stock is great too - didnt quite understand your comments on the full folding stock.

I mean the folding stock that Aresenal offers such as the one on here http://www.arsenalinc.com/slr107fr.htm

It looks like it offers a perfect solution to folding stocks. So its not complicated to cut this barrel? I know the sig 556 patrol rifle cant have the barrel chopped as it will mess the threads up. How accuret are these ak sbrs? What group would you expect at 1 or 200 yards?

Were you not happy with the answers the first two times you asked the same question?

I did the 107CR because I like how it looks and because all parts are standard AK (bolt, gas system etc).  I also like that all I had to do was get my paperwork back, cut off the barrel with a hack saw and have a local smith do the crown job (no need on the CR to have the gas ports opened up).  It works 100% and is very accurate.  It is a very light good "go-to" setup.  I will probably have the shorter one some day, but for now I'm very happy with the CR.

Who did your build? What made you go with that flash hider? Could I get it threaded for a smith enterprise vortex? Whats the overall length with the stock folded?
I wonder how one of these would run with a suppressor.

It is an arsenal factory rifle.  I like that hider becauase it is classic of the 102 series and works good too.  The can break is pretty cool too, but is more bulky for this rifle.  It has the bigger threads on it so I don't think you could put a vortex on it.  All of the bulgarian Krinks and ones like mine have the bigger size diameter (I don't know how else to explain it).  I've seen guys run them in 5.56 with cans and they like them a lot, but mine is 7.62 so it would probably be louder and more gassy...  I guess I would have to see one before I could comment.

Is your arsenal an sbr or a regular 16 inch barrel rifle? Are the gas systems om the AK104 sbrs full length?

YES, it's a 16" barrel. YES, it uses standard AK bolt carrier, gas tube, and handguards. NO a Vortex isn't offered in 24mm threads.

Actually it is NOT a 16" barrel anymore because it is a SBR, but I agree that if the OP would just read the threads he would get his answer without having to ask the same question 100 times!

I was reffering to the 107CR in general, but yes, the above CR was chopped, and looks like a Chris Butler FH on it.
