Finally after owning a Bulgy AKS-74 parts kit, I was able to send it off to be built. I sent all the stuff to Overland to be built. It took alittle longer than expected it was worth the wait. It is one of the BEST AKs I have ever laid my hands on. Gary at Overland did a very good job. I'll probably be going to the range tomorrow to zero/confirm zero. I can't wait to get out and finally shoot this thing!

Of course I know the cardinal rule of ARFCOM that if you post about a new rifle/pistol/shotgun you have to post pics. So here ya go. Unfortunately, I am not as good as some of you guys are at taking pictures of your weapons.

Right here. www.overlandindustries.com/home.php

Cost me $325 for having the AK sidefolder kit put together and another $25 for having it shipped back to me. So $350 total.

Thanks. It's my FIRST AK. I am ashamed to admit, but I think it has taken over the place in my heart that I had for my M4gery.

I will try to get a range report as soon as I can get the time to go out and shoot the thing.

You picked a heck of first AK my friend

And the exact same thing happened to me with my Bushy M4...my SLR105 muscled it out of the way almost as soon as I got it. After I had it converted to a side folder I sold the Bushmaster because there was really nothing at all that the 105 couldn't do almost as good or better. (and after last weekend's 300 yard experience I really can't see anything that M4gery can do better)

Feel no guilt, and congrats again on the Bulgy. They make good AK's.

That thing is sick.  I've got my Arsenal Bulgaria SLR-105 configured exactly the same way (although, I put a sold plastic folder on it for the time being but still think the triangle looks cooler anyway).  I hope you had the foresight to put a side plate on it.  The only unfortunate thing here is if you didn't you're gonna wish you did pretty soon.

Probably not, I am perfectly content with how it looks right now. I think it looks very good in it's current state.

Beautiful rifle. Let us know how it shoots, I think you'll be even more impressed. I LOVE my AKS-74N. Was my first AK, wanted one since I was about 12, and was well worth the wait. Way more accurate than 7.62, almost no recoil, and cases of ammo for cheap.

I prefer Russian wood, but just bought some Russian polymer from K-var during thier sale for the range, as it does heat up a bit.
