agreed. use the rail from tantal. he offers one that attaches with socket head cap screws. it comes with a hole location/layout template.
personally, i prefer to spot the front or rear hole (depending on which rifle i'm wrenching on), snug the rail down and level it out to the bbl. bore or receiver top edge. then, i clamp the rail and drill the hole in the opposite end and screw it down. finally, the center hole is completed.
