I did a couple of different searches for this going back 6 mos and did not find much.

I have a SLR95 that I want to mount a scope rail to.  I would think that this would be an easier home project given the milled receiver and I have a pretty well equipped workshop (mics, calipers drillpress taps etc) I would like to stay away from rivits.

Has anyone done this?  Can anyone direct me to a description of process?  Does anyone have a kit?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

I think K-Var offers a bolt on unit and Tantal has one also. Minor drilling and tapping required, minimum skill level.

i clamp the rail and drill the hole in the opposite end and screw it down.

I am a little fuzzy on drilling from the opposite end.  Are you saying to use the rail as a template?   A little more detail please.
