I've been somewhat interested in the 2x Aimpoint but haven't found out how much the eye relief is? About the "standard" 3" like scopes on general or what?

It even works at arm's length, but the effective fov shrinks of course.

Interesting, I assumed it would be more like a normal rifle scope. Thanks.

How do you like it so far?
On the AR optics side some guys are basically saying the thing is a complete POS

I've got an Aimpoint 2x zoom that I can't seem to get targeted in. At first I figured out that it was my rail. But now that I have fixed that problem, I still can't seem to hit what I'm aiming at as much as I can with just the plain old sites. Any ideas?

Before I used locktite they were 6ft. Now they are about 1ft at 200yrds and 4-5in at 50yrds. I've shot better then that with my iron sights. I have taken off the scope mount several times and it still hits the same area. Now that I think about it, it might be because I don't have very good cheek positioning. What do you think?

I have my aimpoint mounted on an unknown rail that just has the numbers 7992. Then mounted on that rail is an A.R.M.S. #17.

I had a one piece rail from KVAR but it was a weaver mount so I had to switch to this new 3 piece design (picatinny (sp?)) from my local gun shop. I didn't actually buy it, it was a present.

What type of mount are you using? The ARMS seems very solid but my unknown mount seems kinda weak. Atleast that is the way I feel since it is a 3 piece with screws that before I put loctite on them, would unscrew themselves.
